Welcome to Parrothead Inn by KEES Vacations!

For those who prefer to discover and stay active on their Outer Banks vacation, Nags Head is the ideal spot. Maybe the greatest example of this is Jockeys Ridge State Park, which homes the biggest active sand dune system in the eastern United States. This area is ideal for air sports, playing in the sand or educating oneself about the local landscape, and there are always other active areas such as the many public access beaches and Jennette's Pier, a acclaimed OBX fishing location. Need more? There are also the historic attractions of towns like Manteo and Kill Devil Hills.

But, of course, the main event is the home itself. And this one, which features four separate bedrooms, is capable of taking care of a group any size! The third level features one Queen bedroom and one Full bedroom, and then, going down a flight of stairs to reach the second level, there are two additional Queen bedrooms, with a pull-out queen couch bed to boot! The home also includes two full bathrooms and a carport on the first level.

On the third level of this home is an enclosed sunroom off of one of the bedrooms. This enclosed area includes comfortable seating, a table for eating, and a bar looking out to the street. Walk out of the enclosed sunroom to the huge deck with chairs to catch some rays or read a good book.

With a location so close to the Atlantic Ocean, your group will never be far away from the sounds and excitement of the close by surf! Savor the various attractions surrounding your vacation home or have a nice picnic or barbeque in front of the home with your charcoal grille! Use the outdoor shower to wash off the sand and ocean water at the end of a long day and take advantage of the in-home washer and dryer afterwards. Plus, after a long day of adventuring on the shore, the in-home Pack n Play and Highchair means visitors of all ages will have a chance to kick back and relax!

This splendid Nags Head location has so much to offer on its own, not to mention the attractions and sporting opportunities close-by. Your group will surely appreciate its vacation in this appealing area, and we hope to be your host soon here in the Outer Banks!

Strategies to get the best vacation home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • To book the best rental within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Nags Head area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Parrothead Inn 4 Bedroom 2 Bath Semi-Oceanfront Home in Nags Head has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a specific Nags Head beach you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or applied to your agreement.

During your stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
