Just down the road, be sure to visit the Bodie Island Lighthouse where you can climb up to the top for a handsome 360-degree view of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding marsh land. If you don't feel like cooking in the morning, head to Sam and Omie's for a delicious home-cooked breakfast. For lunch or dinner, order some fresh seafood from Miller's Waterfront Restaurant, Sugar Creek Seafood Restaurant, The Dunes, or Owens—all within 5 miles of the home. Mutiny Bay Adventure Golf and Full Throttle Speedway are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
