Strategies for getting the perfect rental home experience:

When to book a Nags Head rental & When to go:

  • The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Nags Head area. Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Nags Head area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides have offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to pick the perfect vacation home in Nags Head:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Waterfront home in Nags Head with immediate beach access has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a specific Nags Head beach you crave, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
