How to find the best Nags Head rental experience:

When to book a Nags Head rental home & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies supply Nags Head area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Flying Free-- Pet Friendly Oceanfront in South Nags Head MP 20 has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the property manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
