Money saving strategies:
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Nags Head area. Reserve your rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain deals for local tours and attractions.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Nags Head 599: Stunning Soundfront Home, Panoramic views of the Sound and Sunset has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Does your family require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
