Advice for a great stay:

  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
