Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many management companies supply Nags Head area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the perfectrental:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Rec Room has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs applied to your invoice.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
