A rec room on the lower level is the ideal hangout spot with a foosball table, mini refrigerator and convenient access to the pool area. Sisters Ugly is ideal for multiple families traveling together, featuring a master suite on the top level and a second on the mid level for space and privacy. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the short walk to the Nags Head Fishing Pier. Also within walking distance are Lucky 12 Tavern and Surfin' Spoon Frozen Yogurt.

Tips to get the perfect rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Nags Head. To get the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Nags Head area travel guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the best vacation rental in the Nags Head area:

  • Select vacation week and max budget.
  • Rec Room. has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
