Pelican Cove is your home away from home and beach getaway! Pelican Cove has all the amenities to make your OBX vacation and memorable one. The cavernous pool and hot tub area provides lounges and tables where you can bask in the sun, float in the pool, relax in the hot tub and savor some great meals.

After a fun filled day at the beach or in the pool gather in the great room with ample seating for everybody to dine and watch some favorite movies. The rec room offers a place to watch TV along with a table for playing cards or board games. If you brought your favorite books with you then the covered deck will be a great place to appreciate it.

Pelican Cove is near two public beach accesses, one within walking distance. Make sure you venture out to some of our local eateries, stores and a variety of outdoor fun activities.

About the Area

Located in Nags Head, this vacation home is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore, while Seaside Art Gallery and Dare County Arts Council are cultural highlights. Full Throttle Speedway and Mutiny Bay Adventure Golf are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Getting the best value:

  • To find the best vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Nags Head restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.

  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective.
