This 3 bedroom 2 bathroom beach bungalow is in an striking area of the Outer Banks at milepost 10 (northern Nags Head), striking the ideal balance between the tranquility of coastal life and the convenience of being within walking distance to trendy eateries. Located just steps away from the Albatross Street beach access, the street is peaceful (no through street to four lane highway). Great for modest families and couples. With no hotels close by, the beach is less busy. The Albatross beach access only has eight parking spaces which also makes this section of beach less busy.

Much time is spent on the two decks, especially the crow’s nest with vistas of the ocean. The decks have quality chairs and a glider so you can comfortably relax. The lower deck is partially covered if you prefer to be outside but not in the sun. On the ground level, there is more covered seating, a hammock, and picnic table. Ground level washer & dryer along with an additional refrigerator (great for beverages, ice, etc.). Also available are beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers. After a great day at the beach, savor the private outdoor shower. Gas grille is available for guests use.

The home has wood floors in the kitchen, dining, and living rooms with carpet in the bedrooms and tile in the two bathrooms. The open concept living room comfortably seats six guests.

This is a great neighborhood for walking and riding bicycles (bicycles not supplied). Just a few mins.' drive, walk, or bicycle ride to Harris Teeter, Food Lion, TJ Maxx, art galleries, and local eateries (Kill Devil Grille, Noosa Beach Grille, & Tortugas Lie).

Tips and Tricks for getting the best vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • To find the largest rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Nags Head attractions.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Nags Head area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick the bestrental:

  • Start by having your family choose trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Great Family Location - Two Minute Walk to Beach Access - MP10 Nags Head 3BR 2BA has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's an individual Nags Head beach you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
