Summary:
Take a step back in to simpler times. Your family and friends will adore this 1950's Fisherman's bungalow charmer - a little hidden gem in OBX! The property has been painstakingly modernized to bring back the good ol' days while providing guests with all the amenities of home.

We're dog friendly - WOOF! We do have a two dog max. policy (no cats, please!), but no additional pet costs. Located across the street from a beach access, the two bedroom, one bath bungalow sits on a semi-oceanfront lot. The building has been lifted so you can savor vistas of the sound, catch charming sunsets, and watch kite-boarders in the distance. Other property features include WIFI, flat screen TVs (3), a well-supplied kitchen, and a fire pit.

One of two cottages on site, the property is a part of one of the few bungalow courts still existing in Nags Head.

There is a two-dog max., we do not allow cats, and we do not charge a pet fee. There is no smoking allowed in the unit. This unit is not handicap accessible.

Thank you for considering Tandem Cottage!

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your Nags Head rental home in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many management companies supply Nags Head area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
