Tricks and tips to get the very best Nags Head rental experience:

When to reserve a Nags Head rental & When to go:

  • Reserve your Nags Head rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Nags Head area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • To start, have your group decide on trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. K1307B \"The Dune Bug\" Steps to the Beach! Partial Weeks Available! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • If there's a specific Nags Head attraction you long to visit, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
