This home was new to Vacation Rental By Owner for 2022 season. You can see more reviews under my other property, ID #2186137. We have spent the last few years doing a number of upgrades in and outside our home. You will find very little carpet, as there is luxury vinyl plank throughout. The whole interior has been newly painted. The wifi experience works well and every TV in the home is Intelligent, which will allow our guests to use their own apps for streaming. Rental booking tips and tricks:
Find your perfect rental:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Nags Head area. Booking in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Nags Head visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing and booking your Nags Head vacation home:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Destination-OBX Soundfront, 8 bdrm, 10 bth, elavator, pool, hot tub, game room has 8 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Nags Head rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before reserving your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your trip.
- If there's an individual Nags Head attraction you love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
