This home was new to Vacation Rental By Owner for 2022 season. You can see more reviews under my other property, ID #2186137. We have spent the last few years doing a number of upgrades in and outside our home. You will find very little carpet, as there is luxury vinyl plank throughout. The whole interior has been newly painted. The wifi experience works well and every TV in the home is Intelligent, which will allow our guests to use their own apps for streaming. Bring your passwords!

How to book the best Nags Head vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Nags Head. Booking your Nags Head vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Nags Head area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Destination-OBX Soundfront, 8 bdrm, 10 bth, elavator, pool, hot tub, game room has 8 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
