The Captain’s Quarters is an apartment centrally located in the heart of Nags Head. This newly refreshed 600 SQFT apartment is located just steps from the beach and it has everything you need for a great vacation. The Old Nags Head style covered-porch faces south and has vistas of the beach access. The bedroom has plenty of closet space and a queen size bed. The newly remodeled bathroom has a full size tub shower and a 36" vanity. The living area has an open floor plan with a full size kitchen, dining area and living room. The living room has a couch, coffee table and flat screen TV. The covered front porch is located just off the living room. It is a great place to take in the salt air and relax. The apartment is a fast 1 min. walk to the beach. The Albatross Street Beach access is located only 300' (less than a football field!) away. The apartment is within walking/cycling distance to many well acclaimed sites on the Outer Banks, including, Jockey's Ridge State Park (via signaled Hollowell St crosswalk), the new (2017) Town of Nags Head Dowdy Park, The Nags Head Fishing Pier, Tortugas Lie Restaurant and many other attractions. The apartment is also within Biking distance to the YMCA via the Town of Nags Head's new Multi-use path.

When to go & When to book:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the best value, shift your family's Nags Head trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection.   • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
