About this Property

  • Apartment

This is a comfortable space in a family owned home! Very cavernous with tons of natural light. Great neighborhood, plenty of parking, simple access to shopping, eateries and tourist attractions. The space is completely private with a private entrance, Florida room, tons of deck space, kitchenette and much more! Ideal for couples!
The space
The home itself is our family's vacation home. The unit is on the ground floor so painless access with no stairs! I live 2 miles away and am down rather frequently but always give guests their privacy.
Guest access
I would like to reiterate that this unit is on a canal and there is no fence, just a bulkhead. It is not suitable for modest kids to be in the back so therefore we have it listed as "not kid friendly" for that reason!
Other things to note
I appreciate my four legged friends but this property is "pet complimentary". This is due to the quality of the rugs on the floors..... accidents do happen!!

How to find the best rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer time is high season in the Nags Head area. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Nags Head area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Choosing and booking yourvacation home:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Blue Marlin Hideaway has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a specific Nags Head beach you long to visit, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
