About this Property

  • Private vacation home

We were ecstatic when we heard that the well-received, dog-friendly, ocean-front rental home, 315, was re-entering Cove Realty's Rental Program! Several years ago, guests were saddened to hear that the then new owners of 315, originally known as "Beck," decided to move the home to a different rental company that they had their other home with. Well, not only has this OBX Ocean-Front returned, but it came back with a list of aesthetical upgrades as well!

Now known as "Serendipity," 315 features a modernized interior with stainless steel kitchen appliances, fresh interior painting, refreshed floor, and tasteful furnishings and décor throughout. The three bedrooms offer linens for a variety of family sizes and the Queen Master Bedroom features its own, private bathroom! With an ocean-facing great room, your family will savor gatherings by the kitchen, then open up the slider door to an ocean breeze and welcoming beach-side deck.

Being located in South Nags Head, you'll find relatively less-busy and wide beaches, and the area is mins. from the Bodie Island Lighthouse, Outer Banks fishing pier (featuring the Fish Heads restaurant), 4 x 4 beaches, and Old Oregon Inlet Marina, while only a short drive to the heart of Nags Head, featuring an abundance of grocery stores, eateries, Outlet Mall, golf (including miniature golf), sound-side water sports, and so much more!

Again, we welcome 315 back into our rental program where future guests will continue to make memories for years to come!

And don’t forget to bring your “extended family,” as "Serendipity" accepts up to two dogs with an additional $150 spray fee! Please visit our website link for dog restrictions, policies, and local information https://www.coverealty.com/outer-banks-pet-information.

* This home accepts dogs for an additional fee of $150 plus tax. If bringing a dog, please contact Cove Realty so that a pet spray may be set up after your stay.

** To keep rental costs down, this OBX home does not provide linens. However, a linen package can be included for an additional fee. Please contact Cove Realty of Nags Head for more information on this home's linen rental package.

How to find the best vacation property experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Nags Head visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Planning and choosing your Nags Head vacation home:

  • Choose vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 315 - South Nags Head Ocean-Front & Dog Friendly! has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
