Getting the best Nags Head vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your Nags Head rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Nags Head area travel guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Well-equipped oceanside home close to Nags Head Fishing Pier! has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • If there's an individual Nags Head attraction you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or applied to your agreement.

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
