Easily one of Cola Vaughan Realty's most trendy cottages, Sound N Sea has handsome ocean and beach vistas without the oceanfront price. The homeowners have taken every step to ensure a comfortable and calming stay for their guests and you will find the home well-maintained, well-equipped, and very clean. The reverse floor plan (3 bedrooms and 2 baths downstairs and living/kitchen/dining upstairs) means you can effortlessly come and go from the well-furnished top deck to the kitchen for drinks, snacks, or a TV break. When you are ready to hit the beach it is just steps away from your front door.
South Nags Head is arguably the best location on the Outer Banks for a family vacation. It is a completely residential area enveloped by the Cape Hatteras National Seashore yet is only mins. from a variety of retail and recreational outlets (Jennettes Pier, Tanger Outlet Mall, many eateries). Families will find the peaceful, low-traffic and non-commercial ambiance relaxing yet appreciate how simple it is to drive to the grocery store, eateries, the movie theater, or a putt-putt course. The sizable multi-use path that parallels Old Oregon Inlet Road for its 4.5 mile length and is great for running, cycling, or walking. Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is a full service marina with boat ramps and is just a couple of miles south of Sound N Sea if you need a convenient location for offshore or inshore boating and fishing.

Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection.
