South Nags Head is a low-density residential area that is surrounded by the Hatteras National Seashore, yet is only mins. from the commercial and recreational outlets that you may need. Families will find the peaceful, low-traffic non-commercial ambiance calming, but you will appreciate how painless it is to drive to the grocery store, eateries or a putt-putt course. The huge multi-use path that parallels Old Oregon Inlet Road for its 4.5 mile length is great for running, cycling, or walking. For the avid angler, Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is just a couple of miles south of Primrose Cottage along the handsome beaches of the undeveloped Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. The fishing center has boat ramps and a full-service marina. Not to mention, the Outer Banks Fishing Pier with Fish Heads Bar & Grille is less than one mile from Primrose Cottage!
