Tips to get the best rental home experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Book your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Nags Head area visitor guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Nags Head has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
