How to book the best rental experience:

When to visit Nags Head & When to book:

  • The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Nags Head area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to pick the best rental:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Outer Banks Bliss: Golf Community
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a certain Nags Head beach you crave, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. message the host immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
