You can’t beat the appeal, location or value of the family-friendly Barefoot Sisters Cottage! It is conveniently located between the ocean and the sound with access to a community swimming pool and basketball and tennis courts. Ideal for modest families and couples alike, this cute bungalow is well-equipped and comfortably furnished with fun beach-themed decor, flat screen TVs, Wifi, a fireplace, outdoor shower and much more.
The Old Nags Head Cove Community Pool will be open from late May through early-mid September and guests may access the pool by paying a nominal daily or weekly fee. Guests may also have access to the Old Nags Head Cove boat ramp for a weekly fee. The sound shore near the Barefoot Sisters Cottage is a great place for kids and family pets to play and adults to relax. The shallow sound waters don't have the currents and waves of the ocean and we never have "red flag" days! The sound is also striking for sail boats, kayaks, kite boards, paddleboards, or just about any type of personal watercraft. You and your family will feel right at home in this comfortable bungalow, drinking your morning coffee on the front porch, whiling away the days sunbathing at the beach, cooking family meals in the entirely-equipped kitchen, and appreciating the tranquility and peaceful gathered around the fireplace.

Tips for getting the perfect Nags Head rental home experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Nags Head restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing the best vacation home in the Nags Head area:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Charming one level, 3 bedroom home in the heart of Nags Head! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Nags Head rental home search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation family.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a certain Nags Head attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
