Located on a enormous oceanfront lot on Nags Head's re-nourished beach just north of MP 11, this comfortable bungalow expertly blends modern coastal finishes with characteristics reminiscent of a vintage beach home. A private walkway off the deck connects the home to the pristine Nags Head coastline.

Enter on the ground level where you'll find a double-car garage converted into the ideal rainy-day game room complete with Ping Pong Table, Foosball Table, a full-sized refrigerator, and a Enormous-Screen Intelligent TV. There are two bedrooms on this level, one with a Full Bed and one with a Bunk Bed, that have access to an refreshed Full Bath with Tub/Shower combo in the hall.

Upstairs, an inviting great room features a living area with cozy furnishings located around a TV with DVD Player, an 8-person dining table, a completely-outfitted galley kitchen, and a convenient breakfast area. A Master Queen Bedroom on the top level enjoys enchanting ocean vistas and has an attached Full Bathroom and Laundry area. A sizable second bedroom on this floor contains 2 Double/Full Beds and a Couch for additional space. A new sliding glass door opens onto a huge Oceanfront Deck with a raised walkway to the beach and a private dune top deck. The deck also wraps around to the south side and west sides of the home making it the ideal place for you to watch the sunsets while your four-legged companions appreciate people-watching along the walking path.

Tips to get the perfect Nags Head vacation property experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • To get the largest rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Nags Head restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • In the Nags Head area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Finding the best rental home in Nags Head:

  • Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. 6024 Sea Monster * Oceanfront * Dog Friendly has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Nags Head rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. Otherwise, email or call the host before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation group.
  • If there's a specific Nags Head destination you are crazy about, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
