Located in a peaceful, mostly residential neighborhood on a dead-end road on the west side of the "bypass" in Nags Head, the bungalow has two bedrooms and one full bathroom. The first bedroom has two twin beds and is located on the ground floor adjacent to the living room and bathroom. The second bedroom is an open "loft" bedroom with a queen-size bed and futon sitting area. The kitchen is a basic but functional galley-style kitchen and is equipped with pots, pans, silverware, plates, and glassware. The living area features an electric fireplace (not available for use June- August). There is tons of deck space to appreciate the outdoors with Nags Head Hammock's swing and chair, outdoor dining table and chairs with umbrella, and a park-style charcoal grille.
You can walk to the beach in 10 mins.. The closest beach access does have a lifeguard stand. There is also Barne's Street park on the sound side with walking trails through the woods that lead to the sound. (Ideal light hike for those with kids!)
We provide the first roll of toilet paper and paper towels but additional needs are guests' responsibility.
Beds will be newly made and one set of bath towels per person (based on the occupancy you indicated) will be supplied. Guests must bring their own beach towels.
ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES. Family groups only.
Modest, non-shedding breed dogs, (under 30lbs.) can be accommodated for a fee. Guests must agree to not leave pets in the home unattended and to not allow pets on the second level of the home. Crates must be put on included crate pad as to not damage the floor. All pet waste must be removed from the yard before check-out or additional costs will apply ($250) for removal.
Please be sure to put in the correct number of guests when booking for the most accurate rate. While the home is able to sleep up to 6 people, the base rate is for up to 4 people. There is an additional $20 per day charge for every guest over 4 people. Thank you!

Strategies to get the optimal Nags Head rental home experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in Nags Head. To find the best value, consider shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Nags Head vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Nags Head area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Nags Head area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your search:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Cute and Cozy-Central Nags Head???? Dog Friendly????Walk to Beach and Sound? has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, email the host before you book your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's an individual Nags Head beach you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
